Typical veterinary use

For an injectable sulfadiazine/trimethoprim product, veterinary labeling describes an equine dose of 12.5 mg sulfadiazine plus 2.5 mg trimethoprim per kg body weight, equivalent to 1 mL per 16 kg body weight. Another injectable trimethoprim–sulfamethoxazole product lists 1 mL per 10 kg body weight daily for 3–5 days, divided into two equal daily doses.assets.hpra+2
